The chickens have moved outside to the coop. They love visits from their Auntie L.

Ruth and Barbara are free at last - they were let out of chicken jail on good behavior after serving 4 days of hard time... they learned their lesson and are not pecking on the little white girls.

no longer balls of fluff..they are growing wing and tail feathers.they are already six days old..ruth is still at the top of the pecking order however she is in chicken jail because she wont stop pecking the other chicks eyes...

the chicks are here!!

The chicks have arrived. We have 3 Rhode Island Reds (yellow chicks) and 3 Plymouth Rocks (black chicks). They are currently residing in a rubbermaid bin in the kitchen. One of the chicks hasn't opened one of her eyes, possibly due to other chicks pecking her.
